Workshop 2 of 3 · Refill, Not Retail

Mum work out what you actually need and stop running on empty.

An online coaching workshop for mums who've tried the bath, the walk and the night off, still come home exhausted, and might have given up on "me time" altogether.

or just this workshop, $97

Two hours, live on Zoom · Sunday 22 November, 8am to 10am Perth time (11am to 1pm Sydney)

Check what time this is where you are

Can't make it live? You'll get the replay for a month.

Audrey at a table, looking out the window
I asked for a Saturday sleep in. My husband did the morning wake up so I could rest. When I came downstairs, it felt like I'd added four hours to my to do list. I spent the rest of the day catching up on the time I'd taken for myself.

Me, on my "morning off."

Sound familiar? You're not the only one.

Is this you?

You might be here
because...

You finally had twenty minutes to yourself, but the dishwasher was screaming louder.

The massage was lovely. By dinner time you were snapping at everyone again.

You feel guilty when you rest, and resentful when you don't.

Your calendar is full of everyone else. You're not on it anywhere.

You let the house go for one day, then feel like you've failed.

So you try more "self care." It works for an hour. Then you walk back through the front door, and the guilt, the overwhelm and the list are all still there waiting for you.
Or maybe you've given up on "me time" altogether, because organising it feels harder than just going without.

A working session, not a webinar

What you'll
walk away with

You won't just listen. Short teaching, solo reflection, then small breakout rooms, so you're never put on the spot.

In this session

  • You get to stop running on empty. Find what actually refills you, beyond a quick "me time" fix. You'll finally understand why some breaks are gone by bedtime while others stay with you for days, and you'll know what you need more of, so the next time you get a moment, it actually counts.
  • You get to see the hard times coming. Spot your low tides, the tough stretches that keep coming back, like the week before your period, school holidays, sick weeks or the run up to Christmas. Instead of being knocked over every time, you'll have a plan to meet them, and a little more grace for yourself when they arrive.
  • You get to choose your own standards. Question the standards you never chose: where they came from, who they really belong to, and what they've been quietly costing you. Then decide which ones you keep on purpose, because they matter to you, and which ones you're ready to put down.
  • You get to lighten the load. See what drains you the most, and find realistic ways to make it lighter. Whether you have a village or you are the village, you'll leave with options that fit your life: what you can simplify, what you can swap, what you can let go of, and where a little help might come from. Without the guilt, and without it becoming one more thing you have to manage.
A lit candle beside an open notebook with handwritten notes
And one sentence to take home
"I'm choosing to keep ___, and letting go of ___."

You'll fill in the blanks yourself before we close. A standard you keep on purpose, and one you finally put down.

What nobody told you

It's not more "me time."
It's real needs.

What we're told

"You just need some me time."

Book the massage, go for a walk, have a bath. Escape motherhood for an hour, then come back and carry on.

  • It feels good, then it's gone
  • Nothing in your actual week changes
  • The guilt comes straight back, and you decide you're bad at resting
What actually refills you

Retail versus refill.

Retail "me time" is like retail therapy: a quick fix that wears off. A refill meets a real need first, so when you do get some "me time," you actually feel it.

  • Real needs are specific, and they're yours, not the internet's
  • Much of the weight comes from standards nobody could meet
  • Some of what you carry can be handed over, starting this week

You're allowed to need an escape. The work is creating the space for it, so you can enjoy it in peace.

Your facilitator

I've been
where you are.

Founder and facilitator

Audrey Isautier

For fourteen years I was a professional competitive dancer. I won world titles, and danced and taught in more than 47 countries. Strong, fast, in control. That was me.

Then I became a mother, and that woman disappeared so quietly I didn't notice she was gone. I was sure I was failing, at motherhood, at marriage, at being me.

I did everything myself, because it was easier. Until my body stopped me. That's when I learned the difference between a break and a real refill. I built this workshop so you don't have to learn it the hard way.

What my dance students say

Before M.other, I spent years teaching dance. Here's how my students remember me as a teacher.

"Always caring and making people feel welcome… Your approach created a really safe and warm environment for everyone to join in."
Laura D.Former dance student
"She had a way of making you feel like you could do anything, even when you doubted yourself."
James K.Former dance student
"You appeared in a difficult stage of my life, learning to dance from you helped me in so many ways!"

The honest part

No surprises.
Here's what you're saying yes to.

Time to protect

Two hours each workshop, which means asking for help with the kids. This is your time. For those two hours, you are the priority.

Cameras on

A room where we can all see each other feels safer, for you and for every other woman in it. Messy hair, no makeup and a pile of washing behind you are all welcome.

Some of it will sting

You'll look at things you've been avoiding.

It won't fix everything

No workshop can undo years. It can change where you go from here.

No "yes, but..."

Five kids, solo parenting, no family nearby, a partner who works away. All real. But if you're waiting for them to change before you can feel like yourself again, you'll be waiting a long time. We start with what you can choose today. You.

But you'll leave seeing yourself more clearly, knowing what you actually need, and with one real step you can take straight away.

Your safety

A safe room to
open up

What you share stays private

Breakout rooms are never recorded. The main session is, but anything you share there is never shared anywhere, not even in the replay.

1 month replay

Only the teaching segments go into the replay, and you can rewatch them for a month.

Coaching, not therapy

If you're struggling with your mental health, please speak to your GP, or call PANDA on 1300 726 306.

My promise to you

I will never tell you how to raise your children.

There's no judgement here on the choices you make for your family. Whatever you've chosen, you're welcome in this room.

This is about you, the woman. When you know who you are and what you need, you can make the choices that are right for you, your kids and your family, whatever those choices are.

The M.other Circle

No filter. No judgement. No staying stuck. A private community for women in the middle of matrescence, where we talk about the parts that don't make it to the group chat. If you don't have a village, this is where you can start finding yours: women in the same place as you, wanting a better relationship with themselves in the middle of the chaos of motherhood. It's not a parenting group. It's for you, the woman. Join a workshop and you're in it for good.

The process

What happens
after you book

01

Check your inbox

You'll get your confirmation and your invite to the M.other Circle. A few days before each workshop, your Zoom link and workbook arrive.

02

Answer two private questions

Straight after you pay, you'll land on a short page with two quick questions: how you're going at the moment, and anything you'd like me to know before we meet. Only I see your answers. They help me look after you, and hold the room safely for everyone.

03

Bring your real life

Have your calendar or phone nearby, so you can look at the weeks and months ahead. Then put the date in your calendar.

04

Make it your space

Before we start, find a room where you can speak freely, somewhere you could talk about your partner without them in earshot. Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, warm water with lemon, or a cold glass of water. This is your time to finish a warm drink in peace.

After the series
  • Next year I'm opening an 8 week programme for women who want to go deeper. You'll hear about it first, with full details, dates and pricing, before it goes live to the public.
  • If it's right for you, everyone who attends gets a $97 credit towards it, valid for 7 days from the day it launches.

Questions

Before
you book

I have a baby under one. Is this for me?

If your baby is under one but you also have older children, yes. You've already lived a few years of this, and what we work on will help you hold it all, maybe now more than ever.

If this is your first baby and they're still under one, I'll be honest with you. Those early months are about getting through the day, and that's exactly as it should be. This work needs a little headspace. If it isn't there yet, there's no rush. Follow along on Instagram or the podcast, and come back when the next workshops open.

If you're struggling right now, please talk to your GP or call PANDA on 1300 726 306.

My kids are older. Is this still for me?

Yes. Matrescence doesn't follow a timeline. If you've read this far and felt seen, you belong in the room.

What if I can't make the date?

That's okay, you can still book. You'll get the replay of the teaching and your workbook, so you can do the work in your own time. You'll have a month to watch it, whenever life allows. The breakout rooms aren't recorded, to keep what other mums share private.

Do I have to share in front of everyone?

You'll be invited, never forced. Most sharing happens in small breakout rooms, which feels much easier, and those are never recorded. I do recommend it. So often it's while you're saying it out loud that you find your own answer. The replay only includes the teaching, so the personal stories shared during the live call stay private.

I don't have two hours.

Making two uninterrupted hours for yourself is the first step of the work. Asking your partner, your parents or a friend to take the kids is already you reclaiming yourself. Do it once, and the next time gets easier.

Isn't this just more self care?

No. Self care often turns into one more thing on your list. This is about changing what's on the list in the first place.

Can I just do Workshop 2, without Workshop 1?

Of course. Each workshop stands alone, so you don't need to have done Workshop 1. You'll still leave knowing your low tides and the standard you're choosing to let go. The series is simply better value, in cost and in results, and it takes the decision off your plate.

I'm not in Perth. Can I join?

Yes! It's all on Zoom. Each workshop runs 8am to 10am Perth time. That's 11am to 1pm in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart, 10:30am to 12:30pm in Adelaide, 10am to 12pm in Brisbane, 9:30am to 11:30am in Darwin, and 1pm to 3pm in Auckland. Somewhere else? Check the time where you are.
